On to the East, the Veneto region;  what better way to celebrate a day out experiencing this enticing area than with a glass of Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene while eating a delicious red chicory risotto?
In Vicenza and Verona try other local specialities, such as Asiago cheese, a selection of sausages and salami with a cool, soothing, smooth Soave Superiore or a superbly rich Amarone paired with Stracotto (stewed beef dish), excellent local dessert wines such as the sweet yet crisp Breganze Torcolato, or the rich and honeyed Recioto della Valpolicella paired with a great variety of local cakes, to name but a few of this bountiful region’s highlights… the landscape is rich and varied, as are the delicacies.
Visits to traditional festivals too, such as the human chess game at Marostica, will  form part of the fare on offer at Exploring Taste.
